Doctrinal Statement
The Bible
The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God, our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. It is complete and preserved for us today in the King James Version. The RVG is the version used in Spanish since it the purest Spanish translation. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 12:6-7)
God
There is one true and living God, worthy of all honor, the creator of heaven and earth, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-3; 1 John 5:7)
Man
God created man in His image, yet man, through his sin, separated himself from fellowship with God and incurred spiritual and physical death. All men are sinners and in need of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)
Jesus Christ
The Son, Jesus Christ, is the one and only Savior of the world. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and willingly paid for our sin by dying on the cross. He was buried, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven.
(1 Timothy 3:16, John 14:6)
Salvation
God extends the free gift of salvation to all, but it is received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and His finished work on the cross. Those who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior are eternally secure.
(Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:28)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, helps to convert the sinner, edify the saint, and magnify the Lord Jesus Christ. The charismatic movement is a dangerous counterfeit of the real ministries of the Holy Spirit. (John 16:7–14)
The Local Church
The local, independent, New Testament church is a congregation of born again, scripturally baptized believers, for the purpose of glorifying the Savior, edifying the saints, and evangelizing the world for Christ.
(Ephesians 4:11-13; Matthew 28:19-20)
Holiness
Christians are to do all to the glory of God, as lights in this world for Christ, separated from the world while being present in the world. (Philippians 2:15-16; 1 Corinthians 10:31)
Return of Christ
Jesus Christ’s return is imminent, when He will rapture His saints to meet Him in the air prior to the Great Tribulation. At the end of the tribulation period, He will return to execute His wrath and establish His Millennial Reign.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 19:11-16)
